PulseBoard, Inc. ("PulseBoard," "we," "us," or "our") provides an operating layer for engineering teams that connects to your existing tools to surface delivery risk, generate recommendations, and execute actions across your stack. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

01Overview

We designed PulseBoard around a simple principle: your source data stays in your tools. We process it ephemerally to compute the intelligence layer for your team. We don't sell information. We don't share it with advertisers. We retain only what we need to provide the service, and we let you delete what we have.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account & waitlist details — name, work email, company, role, team size, and any context you share when requesting early access.
  • Communications — support requests, feedback, and any other messages you send us.
  • Authentication credentials — OAuth tokens or API keys you authorize when connecting tools.

Information from your connected tools

When you authorize an integration, PulseBoard accesses only the data needed to compute signals for your team. Depending on the integration, this may include:

  • Project and ticket metadata — titles, statuses, assignees, due dates, labels, transitions
  • Code repository metadata — commits, pull requests, contributors, review timing (we do not read source code unless explicitly required by a feature you opt into)
  • Communication metadata — channel names, message timestamps, thread structure (message contents only when explicitly required for a feature)
  • Calendar events — meetings related to engineering work
  • Documentation structure — page titles, hierarchies, modification dates

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — features accessed, actions taken, error events
  • Device and connection — IP address, browser, operating system, referrer
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies)

03How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the service
  • Compute signals, recommendations, and intelligence specific to your team
  • Communicate with you about beta access, product changes, security notices, and support
  • Improve our product, analyze usage patterns, and develop new features (using aggregated, anonymized data wherever possible)
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

04Connected tools

PulseBoard integrates with engineering tools including Linear, GitHub, Slack, Notion, Productboard, and others. When you connect a tool:

  • You authorize us via OAuth or an equivalent mechanism. We respect the access scopes you grant — we don't request more than we need.
  • You can revoke access at any time, either from within PulseBoard or from the connected tool itself. Revocation immediately stops data ingestion.
  • Your interactions with each connected tool remain governed by that tool's own terms and privacy practices.

05Retention & storage

Source data is processed ephemerally. We do not persist source data from your connected tools (commits, ticket bodies, message contents) on our servers beyond what is needed to compute the intelligence layer for you in real time.

What we do retain, for as long as your account is active:

  • Computed signals, recommendations, and team-specific intelligence
  • Per-customer memory architecture that improves recommendations over time
  • Account information and audit logs

You may request deletion of your data at any time. We will fulfill verified deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

06Sharing

We do not sell your information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — vendors who help us operate the service (cloud hosting, observability, customer support, analytics). They are contractually bound to use information only as we direct.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, with notice to you.
  • With your consent — when you explicitly direct us to share.

07Security

We work to protect your information through:

  • TLS encryption for data in transit and industry-standard encryption at rest
  • Pursuit of SOC 2 Type II certification
  • Access controls — only authorized personnel can access systems, on a need-to-know basis
  • Audit logging of administrative access
  • Regular security reviews, dependency scanning, and incident response procedures

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of any security issue, please email open_admin@pulseboard-ai.com.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive your information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at open_admin@pulseboard-ai.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

09Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, and analyze how the service is used. Categories:

  • Essential — required for the site and service to function (authentication, security, preferences). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the service is used so we can improve it.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may break functionality.

10Children's privacy

Our service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact open_admin@pulseboard-ai.com and we will delete it.

11International transfers

PulseBoard operates from the United States, and your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect cross-border transfers.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the service before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
